Recently, I had the pleasure of returning to the beautiful city of Vienna for Check Point’s highly anticipated annual event, CPX.

This year’s event set a record with over 4,000 attendees. Among them, we had over 50 representatives from Ireland, a testament to Check Point’s growing influence across Ireland and the broader EMEA region. As always, attending CPX is a fantastic opportunity to connect with partners, customers, and the wider Check Point team.

This year’s CPX had a packed two-day agenda, with sessions on everything from product updates and roadmaps to insights on some of the most notable cyber incidents from the past year. One of the most significant highlights was the introduction of Check Point’s new CEO, Nadav Zafrir, who shared his vision for the future of the business. With the recent announcement of Gil Schwed (Check Point founder and CEO) moving on from his role, Zafrir’s keynote address offered reassurance and excitement as he emphasised Check Point’s commitment to innovation and the forward momentum that Check Point will maintain.

Product and AI Innovations

A major theme throughout CPX 2025 was the growing importance of AI in cybersecurity. Discussions focused on how AI is becoming more deeply integrated into Check Point’s product offerings, from making security operations more agile and simpler to improving response times against evolving cyber threats.

We walked through updates in Check Point’s R82, including ElasticXL, VSNext, and Infinity AI Copilot.

Additionally, we heard from product specialists from Check Point’s recent technology acquisitions, including Avanan, Perimeter81, and most recently, Cyberint. These companies have introduced new areas of security to Check Point, from email security to hybrid SASE solutions and external risk management. Check Point also spoke about their commitment to their MSSP platform where they continue to invest and innovate.
