DataSolutions recently announced a new partnership with Cato Networks, building upon our growing portfolio in networking and security and expanding delivery of cutting-edge cloud solutions and technologies to channel partners.

Our team recognises that SASE cloud offerings will be key in the coming years to accelerate digital transformation and business growth and to protect enterprises against evolving cyber threats. Cato SASE Cloud is a converged, global, secure cloud-native service that connects all branches, data, people and cloud resources for businesses – at scale and at speed.

We’re delighted to be working with Cato Networks to deliver this SASE offering to our partners.

Many of our channel partners are asking us, why Cato? There are 28 SASE vendors out there, so why did Cato Networks stand out to us? We understand how difficult it can be for partners to select a vendor they can trust. You need to be able to deliver best-in-class products, solutions, and experiences to your customers, but you also need to build a genuine, long-term relationship with your vendor. We took our time to consider exactly what we wanted from a SASE vendor partnership and who would be best placed to bring the many enterprise benefits of a SASE solution to the channel.

Taking all of those factors into account, we chose Cato Networks as our vendor. Here’s why:

An owned infrastructure

This is the headline: Cato built their SASE platform from the ground up as a cloud service. Cato also built their own network of points of presence (PoPs), with over 75 points across the world for the ultimate in fast, high-capacity, and secure connectivity.

As far as we’re concerned, this is a big deal. Cato’s networks and infrastructure are their own, which makes them something of a trailblazer in the SASE space. With their cloud-native solution built directly into their backbone of PoPs, Cato is positioned to deliver a SASE service with the robust architecture to support it.

What does this mean in practice? Cato’s self-healing global private backbone provides non-stop operation. It’s a reassurance to customers that they can work seamlessly, productively, and without interruption – wherever they are in the world.

A comprehensive approach

Every PoP that Cato built and owns runs Cato’s cloud-native technology, including their security software stack which offers complete networking and security services to any site, user, application, or cloud resource. This approach is truly comprehensive because the infrastructure and technology is fully contained and controlled by Cato. No third-party cloud services host Cato’s technology, eliminating the added risk and uncertainty inherent in relying on an Amazon or Google service.

Innovation and future-proofing

We’re always on the lookout for vendors that take future-proofing and innovation seriously because it enables us to introduce the best technologies and processes to our partners.

The past few years turned remote and hybrid working mainstream, and everyone has had to rethink their products and services to suit the demand of dispersed workforces. The perimeter dissolved overnight thanks to the widespread adoption of cloud working, mobility, and bring your own device (BYOD) policies. The era of basic connectivity and network security is over, and Cato doesn’t just understand this in principle but has integrated this entire philosophy into its SASE architecture. Because Cato takes the ever-changing nature of network trends into account, it’s prepared for whatever’s next in store for networking, connectivity, and security.

When done properly, SASE solutions can guarantee businesses security, agility, and flexibility. This is why we believe that the current interest in the SASE architecture will only continue to grow. Cato Networks is mirroring Gartner’s vision for the architecture, positioning itself at the forefront of a more secure and streamlined vision for networking. We want our partners to be there too.

That is why, ultimately, we selected Cato as our SASE vendor
