Why are Microsoft increasing the price per user?
In 2017 Microsoft launched Microsoft 365 to bring together the best of Office, Window, and Enterprise Mobility and Security (EM+S). In the same year, they launched Microsoft Teams. Since then, Microsoft has added 24 apps to the suites included in Microsoft 365 and released over 1,400 new features and capabilities to enhance communication and collaboration, security and compliance, and AI and automation.
This price increase will be the first substantive pricing update to reflect the continued investment that Microsoft has made in Microsoft 365 since its launch.
Extended audio conferencing capabilities
Microsoft Teams will have unlimited dial-in capabilities added in the next few months for enterprise, business, frontline, and government licenses. This is currently only included with Microsoft 365 E5 and Office 365 E5.
