At our most recent partner event, innovation took centre stage at the Vendor Den in Dublin, where cutting-edge IT solutions dazzled our discerning dragons. The event kicked off at 12pm with our Master of Ceremonies, Dr. Ros Beere, setting the stage for the day. Gerard Brophy, CRO of Climb Channel Solutions, opened with a warm welcome speech, positioning Climb and highlighting the opportunities for our partners and vendors in the Irish market. 

Fired up and ready to go – let’s go!

The first wave of vendors to brave the dragons were Quest, SolarWinds, Sonatype, and Kiteworks. Each vendor had a tight 8-minute window to pitch their solutions, followed by a fiery 5-minute Q&A session led by our Head Dragons, DataSolutions’ very own David Keating and Francis O’Haire, alongside channel partners PFH Technology’s Caoimhan Considine and CommSec’s Caoimhe Ní Dhulaing. 

Following the initial round of pitches, we took some time out for lunch and networking. This informal setting allowed partners and vendors to connect, share insights, and discuss the solutions and services that Climb has to offer.

Re-energised, the second set of vendors – Check Point, Security CompassScale Computing, and LogicGate – took the stage. They too presented their solutions and fielded questions from our dragons. 

Post-pitches, we hosted a high-energy speed-dating session. Each vendor stationed themselves at their respective stations, ready for further Q&A and deep dive exchanges. This was a chance for our channel partners to delve deeper into the potential of each solution. 

Armed with 1,000 DataSolutions Dollars, our dragons then entered the investment arena. They strategically allocated their dollars to the technologies that ignited their interest the most.

What vendors came out on top?

After some stiff competition from all vendors involved, we had three clear winners from the day. Check Point Software took the top spot on the day, followed very closely by Kiteworks and Solarwinds in second and third place respectively.

To wrap up the day, we hosted a summer drinks reception, allowing everyone to unwind and continue to network with the DataSolutions and Climb teams into the evening.  

A huge thanks to our vendors for participating and pitching your solutions to the dragons: LogicGate, Check Point, Kiteworks, Quest, Scale Computing, Security Compass, SolarWinds, and Sonatype. We heard pitches on everything from cyber risk and compliance to observability, data protection, and risk management. Thank you also to our channel partners for attending and contributing to the fiery discussions. Your engagement made the Vendor Den a roaring success.
