It’s been a week since Climb’s first Partner Summit, and we’re still on a high! We owe a huge thanks to all our partners and sponsors for making the day unforgettable.

Launching Climb’s UK Partner Summit

Inspired by our US colleagues who have hosted these flagship events for years, the Climb Partner Summit marks the beginning of an annual tradition in the UK. Our goal? Bring together our people, partners and vendors to tackle industry challenges, explore solutions and celebrate our collective successes and long-standing partnerships.

As we all know, our event clashed with Election Day in the UK, so extra thanks to everyone who made it. As Gerard noted in his opening speech, we chose the day first! Your commitment to joining us despite the logistical hurdles speaks volumes about your loyalty and support.

If you couldn’t make it this year, don’t worry—we’ll make sure you’re on next summer’s list. Meanwhile, we have several partner events lined up, including Climb’s MSP Day on 23rd October at Reading Football Club and our Partner Edge Events in Dublin and London in Q4. Keep an eye out for more details in our upcoming communications.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that DataSolutions, a Climb Company, will fully rebrand to Climb Channel Solutions in September. We promised to keep our partners informed and here is your official notice. Whilst our name is changing, you will continue to receive the same service from the same dedicated team, now unified under the Climb global brand, bringing all our operations together as we expand our footprint in the UK and EMEA.

Let’s revisit some of the key moments from the Climb Partner Summit 2024.

I must have heard it a dozen times last week: What a stunning venue?! County Hall was the perfect location for our day, with amazing views over Westminster and the River Thames.

As the day got underway, Gerard Brophy, Chief Revenue Officer, gave a high-level overview of Climb’s market position and strategic objectives for the coming year and beyond. It was an excellent way to set the scene and remind everyone of Climb’s DNA: a focus on emerging technologies, rapid market adaptation, commitment to partners and people, and service excellence.

Throughout the day, we heard from several of our Climb team and vendors on various hot topics. Francis O’Haire, Group Chief Technology Officer, delivered his updated IT trends for 2024, and we had a dedicated panel discussion on DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) and NIS2 (Network and Information Systems Directive 2) compliance. Be on the lookout because we’ll be sharing Climb’s plans for supporting your customers’ DORA objectives soon. We also heard insightful panel discussions on how AI is shaping our industry and the technologies redefining the modern workspace.

The discussions and presentations were interspersed with opportunities for networking, lunch and time for vendors and partners to connect. Thanks to everyone who participated in our treasure hunt, with prizes like a PS5, an Amazon voucher, headphones and a Lion King LEGO set up for grabs. Congratulations to all the prize winners!

A standout moment of the day was the inspiring speech by John Volanthen. An IT consultant by trade, John recounted his role in the Tham Luang cave rescue, explaining how he and a team of cave divers overcame adversity, extreme weather conditions and cultural barriers to rescue twelve young Thai footballers and their coach. John’s incredible story of resilience and determination in the face of unlikely success captivated everyone.

We ended the day on a high note, with drinks at County Hall, starting conversations that we know will continue in the weeks to come.

Thank you once again to all our sponsors for making the day possible and to our valued partners for their attendance and interest in our speakers and technologies. We hope you enjoyed the inaugural Climb Partner Summit and we look forward to seeing you at our events later in 2024.

Mark your calendars for next year—we’re planning to come back bigger and better than before.
